UNheard/seen, erased voices

The UNheard/seen series documents individuals whose work was foundational, but whose visibility was constrained, delayed, or deliberately redirected.

Placement in this series is not a measure of importance or scale. It reflects the distance between contribution and recognition, and the ways comparison, containment, omission, or respectability were used to limit who history allowed to be seen. These figures were often central to the work itself, while remaining peripheral in the public narrative.

UNheard/seen records influence that was present but kept out of view.
